The Heart of my Practice

To serve humanity in healing.

Healing has become such a buzz word now. Here’s what it means to me…

“I have one main goal as a bodywork practitioner and yoga teacher; that is to help people understand and feel better in their bodies.

To help you re-partner with your body.

I believe this single aim can significantly improve your life to levels most people do not reach anymore. It has certainly helped me to have more health and vitality than the average person. I believe that when we really start to dig in and look at it honestly, our bodies and our lives are really just a culmination of how worthy we believe we are and how we spend our time here.

How worthy of love we feel we are. How worthy of health. How worthy of peace and happiness. How worthy of our own time- our life hours- do we deserve for ourselves?

How much of your life energy are you giving away? To work? To your boss? To your partner and kids? To all the different clubs, memberships, or boards you serve on? How much of your time do you give to a television or phone? To being indoors? To being outdoors? To moving your body in organic and fun ways? How much time do you dedicate to quiet? To rest? To just deeply breathing for a few minutes? To contemplation and reflection? To healing yourself? To knowing yourself more? To laughing? To just being, rather than always doing?

None of these are good/bad, right/wrong by themselves. Life is busy and demanding and you can’t get away from responsibilities(that wouldn’t be beneficial anyway-though some people certainly try). Unfortunately in our fast paced, packed lives many people end up ignoring, if not directly damaging their bodies on the average life path. So many people turn away from themselves and exclusively set their attention on others and/or on the plethora of distractions we have available to us (hello television and screen time)- to the demise of themselves.

It’s this wild imbalance, the lack of intentional restoration week after week, year after year, and decade after decade when our bodies start speaking loudly about the neglect and damage done. I meet and work with people everyday who feel at a loss and stuck in their bodies when they reach this stage in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond, when the so-called “diseases of aging” set upon the uncared for human body.

Therefore, as a person who has been working closely with other people for about a decade, the heart of my practice is to show people how to return home to their body and their life. Whether it’s through yoga, a massage, a skincare treatment, a sound experience, or some coaching- my aim is to take the stressed out human who’s in pain and teach them how to slow down and listen. Teach them how to cut out the unnecessary, soul-sucking stuff from their lives and live more simply. Teach them how to rest into their parasympathetic nervous system so that their body can self heal and teach them how to take better care of themselves overall.

That’s my purpose in life regarding my work. I’ve taken what I learned to heal myself and I share it with you.

So if you’re struggling with something, if you need some space and someone to hold space for you, if you need resources and inspiration to heal and reclaim your life, if you need some physical bodywork…

I AM YOUR PERSON!

I truly believe we are here as humans to learn and heal in this crazy world.

Let’s take the path of healing together!
