Brittany has been studying life and people for her entire life. At the age of 16 she began with Eckhart Tolle’s teachings, and by 19 she attended and served four Vipassana retreats in one winter season becoming more deeply attracted to healing and enlightenment.
Yet, her life has not been a straightforward path and it hasn’t been the typical-looking journey either. Most times she believed there was nothing spiritual about the day-in and day-out monotonous rhythms of life that all people experience. Yet, the spiritual constantly called to her year after year in every way; every encounter, every relationship, every challenge or set back, every change of course that arose, every physical dis-ease, every dark place and every pure bliss experience offered something that deepened her experience to life itself.
To recognize aliveness in everything and actively participate in life, to be present, is to be spiritual. To honor our bodies and care for them deeply is the foundation of a spiritual life. From there we expand our lives to include and consider the lives of all beings and of the earth itself- and extend our caring to them as well.
Professionally, Brittany has been taking care of people for most of her working life. Starting as a caregiver for elderly residents at the age of 18, she discovered joy through developing one-on-one relationships with fellow human beings based on respect, listening and, nurturing. She first began her massage path in Kailua Kona, Hawaii at age 22, but didn’t complete her schooling until a couple years later due to financial difficulties. However, by the age of 25 she was both a licensed esthetician and a licensed massage therapist in Bozeman, Montana. At age 27 she enrolled in Yoga training with Sarahjoy Marsh in Portland, Oregon and then traveled with Sarahjoy to India to study with her long-time teachers in the winter of 2019/2020.
Brittany combines the wisdom of all her teachers, but primarily studies the work of Sarahjoy Marsh, Til Luchau, Katy Bowman, Mark Whitwell, Dr. David Frawley, Dr. Cassie Huckaby, Dr. Tommy John, and Dr. Shankaranarayana Jois, author of The Sacred Tradition of Yoga, whom she had the good fortune of sitting with while in Mysore, India.
Brittany’s passion is educating people to become stronger in their bodies and more sovereign in their lives. She teaches that everything in your life is here to serve your journey toward healing and enlightenment.
Brittany is currently pursuing a degree in psychology at Southern Oregon University to blend the eastern wisdom traditions with western scientific knowledge of the workings of the human mind for an even deeper understanding of how to best serve others.
